Hello parents and athletes. If the walk out occurs Thursday and Friday, practice will begin at 2:30 at the CDS Track. If school resumes, practice will be at the normal time at 2:45.

Also, the State Qualifier Banquet has been rescheduled for this coming Monday April 30th at 5:30. It will be at Babbo off Rural and Ray in the Frys shopping area.

Desert Vista Last Chance Meet

End of Seasons Banquet – May 8th at 6pm
Mark your calendars for our end of year banquet on Tuesday, May 8th. Athletes eat for free and additional guests are $10 for a Rigatony’s meal. Flyers went home last Friday and can be found on the team website under “DOCUMENTS”. It is also attached to this email. There is an online RSVP/Payment link on the website under “LINKS” on the menu bar. We do ask that you RSVP and pay (for additional guests) by May 3rd so we can order the right amount of food.

All athletes should be dressed out in their uniforms at 3:00 on Friday for pictures. Athletes who are NOT participating in the Last Chance Meet or the State Meet will be turning in their uniforms immediately after.

Tempe City Meet
The Tempe City Meet will be held at Desert Vista on Tuesday and Thursday. There will be Freshmen, JV and Varsity levels for this meet. The schedule of events and other information can be found at www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/337333/info. Go Aztecs!

Banquet Registration
The banquet is set for Tuesday, May 8th at 6:00pm in the Corona Cafeteria. Dinner is Rigatony’s pasta, bread, salad and dessert. Athletes eat for free, as do kids age 10 and under. Guests over the age of 10 are $10. We are asking that you RSVP and prepay so that we know how much food to order. Please see the attached registration form for more information. There is a link available on our website where you can RSVP and/or pay online ($1 fee per transaction). Go to the “LINKS” tab on the menu bar and select “Banquet RSVP/Payment”. We ask that you please respond by May 3rd.

Wildflower Restaurant Night on Tuesday
Join us at Wildflower Bread Co. at the Chandler Mall from 5 – 8pm on Tuesday, April 10th. We will receive at least 25% of the proceeds (dine in or take out) when you bring in the attached flyer. This is our last restaurant night of the season, so take the night off from cooking and enjoy some great food!

Last Home Meet on Wednesday
Our last home meet will be a dual meet with Perry on Wednesday at 3:45pm. We need to get pictures of all of our athletes, especially our seniors. If you have a camera and can help us take pictures at the meet, please contact Kristi at kristijohn@hotmail.com or just show up with your camera. Athletes (especially seniors), if you are not competing, we ask that you still wear your uniform so that we can get “mock” shots of you competing in case we don’t have any already. There will be a designated area at the north end of the track where we will take these.

Hohokam Invitational on Friday
Varsity athletes will be participating in the Hohokam Invite at Westwood High School on Friday. The meet starts at 9:30am and goes through the evening. Athletes will get instructions as to events and bus departure times from their coaches sometime this week.
