Start of Season/Registration
The official start of Track &Field season is Monday, February 4th. There will be a meeting on the bleachers starting at 2:45pm that all participants should attend. Practice should end between 5:15-5:30. Please make sure you have gone on RegisterMyAthlete.com to complete your athlete’s registration. Participation at practice will not be allowed until that is completed.

Pole Vault ImPact Testing
Any athlete doing Pole Vault needs to complete the ImPact Testing. The last day to do this is Wed. (tomorrow) January 30th at 1:30pm in room E245.

Parent Meeting
The Track & Field Parent Meeting is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 11th, immediately following the Spring Sports Meeting in the auditorium (time TBD, but most likely 6pm). Attendance is highly encouraged as important information about the season will be discussed and handouts given out.

Kendra Scott Fundraiser, February 9th
We will be having a fundraiser at the Kendra Scott store in the Chandler Mall on Saturday, February 9th from 10am to 1pm. Our team receives 20% of all sales during that time, including phone orders. Please stop by and check out the great selection of jewelry. Be sure to tell your friends and family about it as well.

Tax Credit Donation
Please consider making a Tax Credit Donation to Corona Track & Field. This money can be used towards coaches’ salaries, equipment and meet fees. There is no out of pocket cost to you – the money comes right back to you as a credit when you file your taxes. Donations can be applied to either your 2018 or 2019 taxes. Sponsors and Parent Shout Outs
We are still looking for businesses to sponsor our track & field team this year. We offer advertising space in our team program, logo display and website links on our webpage, Facebook thank yous and even full color banners for our larger sponsors. Sponsorship ranges from $50 to $750. Sponsorship information can be found on our website under “Documents”.

Parents can help sponsor our team as well, by doing a Parent Shout Out to your athlete in our team program. The cost is $25 for an encouraging message to your athlete. Please see the attached document, “Shout Out”, for more information.

Upcoming Events
Booster Meeting – Wednesday, 2/6 at 3:30pm at the Fry’s Starbucks (Ray/Rural). Any interested parents are welcome to join us.

Chipotle Fundraiser – Tuesday, 2/12 from 4-8pm at the Chandler Mall location). We earn 33% of sales supporting Corona Track & Field, so we need everyone to turn out!

This week represents our last 3 days of track and field preseason. The student-athletes have done an awesome job during preseason and we are more than excited for the start of the regular season on Monday February 4th.

Next week practice will begin at 2:45 everyday. On Monday, we will have a meeting in the bleachers at the stadium. Practice should be finished between 5:15 and 5:30.

Please make sure that all student-athletes have completed all the necessary items on registermyathlete.com. This includes a physical that is required for all athletes to participate.

We will be handing out a team expectation and info sheet for all students and parents to sign and return to the coaches.

Kendra Scott Fundraiser at Chandler Mall
Get ready for Valentine’s Day by joining us on Saturday, February 9th from 10am to 1pm at the Kendra Scott jewelry store at the Chandler Mall. Corona Track & Field will receive 20% of all sales during that time frame. You can also place a phone order during that time and get free shipping to your home. Please help spread the word by telling your friends and family. Check out the attached invitation for more information.

Chipotle Fundraiser at Elliott location
Plan to dine out on Tuesday, February 12th at Chipotle on Elliott, between McClintock and the 101. Corona Track & Field will receive 33% of all sales, when you say you are supporting our team. Flyers will be emailed as we get closer to the event.

Goodwill Drive Fundraiser
Start cleaning out those closets and garages! We will be holding a Goodwill Donation Drive on Saturday, March 23rd. Our track team will receive a check from Goodwill based on the weight of our donation. Please let your neighbors and friends know so they can drop off their donations. More information will be coming later.

More Ways to Support the Team Year Round
There are additional ways to support our team with no out of pocket cost to you. Tax credit donations can be used for many of our needs throughout the season. We also participate in the Fry’s Community Rewards Program, Amazon Smile and Escrip Benefit Mobile. It takes just a few minutes of your time to sign up and we can earn money from your purchases year round. Just a friendly reminder. Next week, due to Martin Luther King day, we will be holding our preseason track and field Camp Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. We will not be meeting on Monday the 21st.
