Hi all! We cannot believe the Tempe Union City Track meet is coming next week, Thursday and Friday. Here is some information for Athletes and parents:

1. Practice attendance is MANDATORY starting Monday the 18th in order to complete at City. If an athlete misses Practice, they will not be entered in the meet.

2.. We are so appreciative of our Parents and Athletes understanding that Friday meets were a necessity this season. We realize it is not easy for anyone to miss school during the week, especially on Friday when tests usually occur. Coach Scott and I are aware of this and will try our best to schedule fewer Friday meets next season.

3. Non Varsity athletes will have a very short practice on Monday March 25th to turn in their uniforms. PLEASE make sure uniforms and warm-ups are returned in you are not charged a fee for lost school items.

4. Non Varsity athletes are welcome and encouraged to remain at practice after the City meet If they wish to continue their training.

Corona del Sol Track & Field Athlete Recognition and Awards Banquet
Please join us in celebration of our Amazing Track and Field Team.

Monday, May 2nd at 5:30pm in the Corona del Sol Amphitheater (across from the cafeteria). This event will be held outdoors, business casual attire.
Dinner this year will be from our Gold Level Sponsor Jimmy & Joes Pizzeria.

Athletes and Coaches eat for FREE! All other guests pay $11 each. You must RSVP and choose a food option to receive a meal.

PLEASE RSVP BEFORE 6PM ON April 26th.
No food orders will be taken after April 26th or on the day of the banquet due to all food being ordered in advance. ALL PERSONS ATTENDING MUST RSVP TO RECEIVE A MEAL.

3:15pm – 4×800m (2 heats)
3:45pm – HH’s (11 heats)
4:10pm – 100m (22 heats)
4:45pm – 1600m (5 heats)
5:25pm – 4×100m (6 heats)
5:50pm – 400m (19 heats)
6:35pm – IH’s (11 heats)
7:05pm – 800m (7 heats)
7:40pm – 200m (21 heats)
8:25pm – 3200m (3 heats)
9:10pm – 4×400m (7 heats)
10:00pm – End time for track events

The first Mulit events begin at 2:20pm.
All of the first flights of field events begin competition at 3pm. There will be two discus areas, two shot put circles, and 3 long/triple jump pits – see the meet information about these events.
